Eligibility Criteria for Dependent Visa

  1. Clear Scan color copy of the applicant's passport (Passport must be valid more than 6 months).
  2. Clear scan color copy of the previous residence visa (if applicable).
  3. The birth certificate must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Embassy in the country of origin. After that, it should be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in the UAE, followed by legal Arabic translation.
  4. If the birth certificate is not available, you may get a letter from your consulate to prove the relationship attested by MOFA and translated to Arabic.
  5. The confirmation must be from the consulate, the letter must initiate with “This is to confirm, or This is to clarify.”
  6. A high-quality applicant digital photo that matches the ICP specifications (Note: Please find the personal photo guidelines to be followed set by Federal Authority for Identity Citizenship, Customs & Port Security here.)
  7. Applicants from the following countries Must Bring their National ID (Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan).
  8. If the sponsor holding 2 years visa:
    • As per the new rules of GDRFA department, Boys are entitled for 2 years instead of 1 year till they will complete 25 years old. And will be ineligible for renewal after 25 years of age.
    • For the daughters, sponsor can sponsor his/her daughter as long as she is single in respective of her age.
  9. Son or daughter over the age of 18. The father’s unmarried undertaking letter must be signed while you’re applying for the application via online portal.
  10. The 10 Years Golden visa holders and the 5 Years Retirement Visa holders can sponsor their dependents (boys & girls) for the same duration as the sponsor’s visa validity as long as their children are not married.
  11. The consulate’s embassies letter for the dependent’s relationship declaration must mention the mother’s name along with the father’s name in the same letter, otherwise application will not be approved.

Required Documents for Dependent Visa

  1. Sponsor’s passport copy and residence visa copies
  2. NOC letter from the father. In case the mother is the sponsor, NOC attested by the notary public for boys below 18 years and girls below 21 years.
  3. If the father is the sponsor, he must provide proof of the mother’s status by attaching a copy of her residence visa or Emirates ID.
